Exclusive Religious Pilgrimage Giveaways
As a highlight of the celebrations, Ooredoo has launched the #20for20Years giveaway, offering customers the chance to win spiritual journeys. Every 20 days, one customer will be awarded an Umrah trip, totaling 19 trips throughout the campaign. The promotion will culminate in a grand prize: a Hajj trip for two.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the giveaway, customers must:
- Spend over MVR 250 within the last 30 days on bill payments or add-ons.
- New customers are eligible by spending MVR 400 or more on bill payments or add-ons.
- Use Ooredoo services such as calls or data for at least 25 days in the past 30 days.
- Be Postpaid, Prepaid, or SuperNet customers.
Technological Advancements
In line with its commitment to innovation, Ooredoo has introduced several new services:
- Apple Watch Cellular Service: Ooredoo has launched eSIM support for Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra, allowing users to stay connected without their iPhones nearby. The service is free for the first six months, after which it will be available for MVR 199 per month.
- Smart(er) Home Bundles: The company has introduced Smart Home Security bundles integrated with SuperNet, offering smart devices like security cameras and smart doorbells to enhance home security and convenience.
Community Engagement
Ooredoo’s anniversary celebrations also include community-focused events:
- Masrace Fishing Competition: This year’s Masrace will be a large-scale festival held in Addu City, with island councils invited to host their own island-based fish races.
- Fun Run Events: The popular Fun Run will take place in Hulhumalé in December and in Addu City on June 27, 2025.
- Brand Ambassador Appointment: Ooredoo has appointed Rashid Adam, known as “The Life of a Fisherman,” as its new brand ambassador, reflecting the company’s commitment to local talent and the fisheries sector.
