Police have launched an investigation into a case in which a group of students from a school allegedly bullied another student online.
In a statement sent to the media today, the Maldives Police Service said the case involves students from a school on an island within the Central Police jurisdiction.
According to police, the students are suspected of harassing another student over the internet.
The Standard understands that the bullying took place through the social media platform TikTok.
Police said the investigation is being carried out in coordination with the relevant authorities.
No further details of the case have been disclosed by police at this stage.
Police are continuing their investigation into the case.
