The accident involved an Azerbaijan Airlines flight carrying 67 passengers en route from Azerbaijan to Russia. The plane crashed in Kazakhstan, where rescue teams managed to save 27 individuals, including two children. Those rescued are receiving treatment at a nearby hospital, according to Kazakhstan’s Transport Ministry.
Details regarding fatalities and injuries remain undisclosed, and no official comments have been made by any of the countries involved about the cause of the crash. However, Russia’s aviation authority reported that initial findings suggest the pilot attempted an emergency landing after a bird struck one of the aircraft’s propellers.
