Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring timely infrastructure delivery for one of the country’s largest social housing developments. Managing Director Abdul Matheen, accompanied by the MWSC project team, conducted a site visit yesterday to the Amaan Dhoadhi and Amaan Udhares housing project — a landmark initiative featuring 4,000 residential units in Hulhumalé.
During the inspection, Matheen reviewed the progress of water and sewerage connection works and assessed site readiness to meet utility service requirements. The visit also focused on verifying whether ongoing installations align with the project’s overall schedule set by relevant government agencies.
MWSC emphasized that the timely completion of water and sewerage connections remains a top priority to support the swift handover of units to prospective residents. The utility provider highlighted its role in delivering essential services that directly impact the quality of life for families moving into the new community.
The Amaan Dhoadhi and Amaan Udhares development forms part of the government’s broader housing agenda to address growing demand in the Greater Malé Region. Once complete, the project is expected to significantly ease housing pressures in the capital area, providing thousands of families with modern homes supported by reliable utility services.
MWSC stated that the inspection reflects its broader mission to serve communities with safe, sustainable, and efficient infrastructure solutions, reinforcing its role as a key partner in national development projects.
