Maldives Unites for Sri Lanka, Donate Now to Save Lives

By Ahmed Ashraf Published November 30, 2025

The nationwide “Maldivians for Ceylon” telethon has begun, bringing together 37 media outlets to raise urgent relief aid for Sri Lanka, which is facing severe flooding, heavy damage, and tragic loss of life due to storm Dithuvaa. The telethon will continue until 1.00 AM tonight, giving everyone in the Maldives a chance to help.

Sri Lanka has always been one of the Maldives closest and most supportive neighbours. Thousands of Maldivians live there, study there, and have built long lasting friendships with its people. Now, as Sri Lanka faces one of its hardest moments, Maldivians are coming together to return that kindness.

How you can donate

Donating is simple and open to everyone. You can give through any method that is easiest for you.
