President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have returned to the Maldives after completing the holy pilgrimage of Umrah in Saudi Arabia.
The President and First Lady departed for Saudi Arabia on Monday, April 6, to undertake the pilgrimage, which was completed on Wednesday during their visit.

The trip was fully hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with all expenses covered, reflecting the close and enduring ties between the two nations.
Umrah, a significant spiritual journey for Muslims worldwide, was undertaken by the President as part of his continued commitment to religious observance alongside national leadership.
The Maldives and Saudi Arabia maintain strong relations rooted in shared Islamic values and cooperation across multiple sectors, with the visit further reinforcing bilateral goodwill at the highest level.
