President Mohamed Muizzu has departed for Singapore on an unofficial visit.
According to information confirmed by officials, the President traveled to Singapore sometime late last night.
The President’s Office has not yet disclosed the duration of the visit or provided additional details regarding the purpose of the trip.
Unofficial overseas visits by heads of state are commonly undertaken for personal matters or medical-related purposes. However, no official statement has been released clarifying the nature of President Muizzu’s current visit.
President Muizzu has previously traveled to Singapore on unofficial visits since assuming office.
During one of his earlier trips to Singapore, the President and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed met with Maldivian families residing in the country.
Singapore remains a frequent destination for Maldivians seeking medical services, personal travel and business engagements.
