Ooredoo Maldives has announced that some customers may be experiencing temporary disruptions to its mobile voice and data services as the company works to resolve a technical issue.

In a statement shared on its official social media channels on Tuesday, the telecommunications provider said its technical teams are actively investigating the cause of the disruption and are working to restore services as quickly as possible.

The company did not disclose the cause of the outage or specify which areas or services have been most affected. It also did not provide an estimated timeframe for full service restoration.

“We are investigating the issue and working to restore services as quickly as possible,” Ooredoo said, while acknowledging that customers may face temporary interruptions to mobile voice calls and mobile data connectivity.

The disruption has affected users who rely on Ooredoo’s network for communication and internet access, with customers awaiting further updates from the operator.

Ooredoo Maldives said it will continue working to restore normal services at the earliest opportunity.
