Ooredoo Maldives continues as Digital Partner for 10th edition of TTM Maldives

By Hussain Shinan Published 7 hours ago

Ooredoo Maldives will continue its partnership with Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) as the Digital Partner of TTM Maldives 2026, which is being held on August 26 and 27.

The partnership continues a relationship spanning nearly a decade between Ooredoo Business and TTM, as the travel trade event marks its 10th edition this year.

TTM Maldives brings together resorts, hotels, travel operators and agents to facilitate business meetings and partnerships while connecting the country’s tourism industry with international travel markets.

This year’s edition is expected to bring together representatives from more than 120 resorts and hotels, alongside over 250 travel operators and agents from 30 major tourism source markets.

As Digital Partner, Ooredoo said it will continue supporting the event while promoting technology and connectivity solutions designed for businesses operating within the country’s tourism and hospitality industry.

Ooredoo’s business portfolio includes managed and hosted services, enterprise connectivity and data centre solutions, alongside cloud and other digital services. The company has also invested in expanding 4G and 5G connectivity, international network capacity and digital infrastructure over the years.

Ooredoo Maldives Chief Business Officer Rajesh Mehta said the 10th edition of TTM represents an important milestone for an event that has grown alongside the Maldivian tourism industry.

“We are proud to celebrate the 10th edition of Travel Trade Maldives, a milestone that reflects the remarkable growth and resilience of the Maldivian tourism industry,” Mehta said.

He noted that Ooredoo Business has worked with TTM for nearly a decade, supporting the platform as it connects tourism businesses with international partners and creates new opportunities for the sector.

Mehta added that Ooredoo intends to continue supporting tourism businesses through connectivity and digital solutions that can help improve operational efficiency and the guest experience.

The TTM Connect Meetings are scheduled to take place across both days of the event at Barceló Nasandhura Malé, providing participating businesses with opportunities to hold meetings, negotiate agreements and establish new partnerships.

TTM Maldives 2026 will conclude on the evening of August 27 with the TTM Awards & Gala at CROSSROADS Maldives. The event will recognise achievements across the country’s tourism sector and announce the winners of this year’s TTM Awards.

Tourism remains the Maldives’ largest economic sector, making reliable telecommunications and digital infrastructure increasingly important for resorts and other tourism businesses. From guest connectivity and digital payment systems to cloud services and internal operations, technology has become closely integrated into the industry’s day-to-day activities.

Ooredoo has operated in the Maldives for more than two decades and has expanded its services beyond consumer telecommunications into enterprise connectivity, ICT and digital solutions. The company said its continued partnership with TTM forms part of its efforts to support digital transformation within the tourism and wider business sectors.
