Anawa Anchors in Paradise: Maldives Hosts the Magnificent 62-Metre SeaXplorer

By Ahmed Ashraf Published December 28, 2024

As the festive season approaches, the Maldives is witnessing an influx of luxurious yachts, among which the distinguished Anawa stands out. Anchored near Crossroads Maldives in Kaafu Atoll, this 62-metre custom-designed SeaXplorer boasts both opulence and functionality. Owned by renowned billionaire Jorge Paulo Lemann, the Anawa exemplifies maritime luxury with its Helibras 350 helicopter and a proficient crew of 16.

Mr. Lemann, a Brazilian-born investor now residing in Switzerland, amassed his $17 billion fortune through strategic ventures in investment banking and as a co-founder of 3G Capital. Known for acquiring major brands like Burger King, Kraft Foods, Anheuser-Busch, and Heinz, Lemann’s influence extends globally. The Anawa, constructed by Damen Yachting, carries a gross tonnage of 1,850 and can reach a maximum speed of 13.5 knots.

This season’s assembly of extravagant yachts in Maldivian waters underscores the region’s standing as a preferred destination for high-profile leisure during Christmas and New Year celebrations.
