Ooredoo Launches ‘Futuboalha Foari’ Campaign for World Cup Fans

By Hussain Shinan Published 3 hours ago

As excitement builds ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, Ooredoo Maldives has unveiled a new promotional campaign aimed at helping football fans stay connected and enjoy the tournament through a range of special offers, rewards and entertainment packages.

Branded as “Futuboalha Foari,” the campaign brings together a series of promotions across Ooredoo’s prepaid, postpaid and SuperNet services, offering customers enhanced access to live matches, broadband upgrades and prize opportunities throughout the World Cup period.

The telecommunications provider said the campaign is designed to elevate the viewing experience for football enthusiasts while rewarding customers with added value during one of the world’s most anticipated sporting events.

Special World Cup Viewing Package

One of the key highlights of the campaign is the introduction of a dedicated World Cup package in partnership with Medianet.

Available from June 10 to July 20, the “MTV WeAre26” pack is priced at MVR 275 and includes 3GB of regular mobile data along with a Medianet TV subscription valid until the end of the tournament.

According to Ooredoo, the included data can be used across all applications without restrictions, allowing customers to stream matches, access social media platforms and follow tournament coverage from anywhere.

The package is available to both prepaid and postpaid customers and can be activated through the Ooredoo App.

Free SuperNet Upgrades

Ooredoo is also offering a complimentary upgrade to the next available SuperNet Unlimited package tier for eligible customers.

The promotion will run from June 10 to July 31, enabling customers to enjoy higher broadband speeds while continuing to pay their current subscription fee for the first three months.

After the promotional period ends, customers will be charged according to the upgraded package unless they choose to revert to their previous plan.

The company noted that this promotion applies exclusively to customers upgrading to Unlimited packages and cannot be combined with certain other ongoing promotional offers.

Chance to Win a 75-Inch Television

Customers signing up for a new SuperNet Unlimited connection or upgrading an existing package during the campaign period will also be entered into a lucky draw to win a 75-inch Hisense television.

The winner will be selected once the campaign concludes at the end of July.

Installment Plan for New Televisions

To further enhance the home viewing experience, Ooredoo has partnered with Redwave to offer selected Hisense televisions through a 12-month installment plan.

Eligible customers can apply through Ooredoo Experience Centres, where their eligibility will be assessed instantly.

The offer is available to existing SuperNet Unlimited customers with a strong payment history as well as new customers who enroll in Direct Debit services.

Depending on their broadband package, customers may qualify for various television models, with higher-tier plans providing access to a wider selection of devices.

World Cup Fever Reaches the Maldives

The FIFA World Cup remains the most watched sporting event globally, attracting billions of viewers and generating significant engagement across digital platforms.

With the tournament set to begin this week, companies across the Maldives have launched various promotions and activities targeting football fans eager to follow the action.

Ooredoo said the Futuboalha Foari campaign reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing customers’ digital lifestyles by combining connectivity, entertainment and rewards.

The company added that the initiative aims to help customers enjoy the World Cup experience whether they are watching matches at home, streaming on mobile devices or engaging with tournament content online.

Further details regarding the campaign and its offers are available through the Ooredoo App and the company’s official digital platforms.
