Dhiraagu has signed on as the official Digital Partner for the inaugural Thoddoo Masters Table Tennis Tournament, set to take place from 19 to 25 August 2025 on AA. Thoddoo. Marking a significant milestone, this event is the first international Masters table tennis competition to be hosted in the Maldives.
Organised by Thoddoo Local Authority Company Ltd. (TLAC) together with Ihaa Table Tennis Academy (ITTA), the tournament will feature over 130 athletes aged 35 and above, representing more than 20 countries including Germany, China, Spain, India, the UK, and the USA. In addition to promoting the sport, the event aims to generate economic and social benefits for the local community.
“We are proud to support the first-ever Thoddoo Masters Table Tennis Tournament,” said Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, Director of Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu. “This initiative aligns with our commitment to community engagement, sports development, and promoting the Maldives as a hub for international sporting events.”
Ahmed Karam, President of Thoddoo Council, welcomed the signing, noting that the tournament “puts Thoddoo on the map as an emerging sports tourism destination.” He expressed gratitude for Dhiraagu’s “unwavering commitment to supporting and promoting local tourism.”
Ihaa Academy founder Ibrahim Latheef also commended Dhiraagu’s involvement. “Their support as Digital Partner will enable a smooth and professional event, inspiring the next generation of Maldivian athletes,” he said.
