Light Up the Night: Drone Show at 9 PM, Fireworks at Midnight in Hulhumale Central Park!

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has revealed that a grand celebration to usher in the year 2025 will commence tonight at 8:00 PM in Male’. This event is a collaborative effort between MMPRC and several government ministries, agencies, along with numerous private entities. The festival spans two days, taking place today and tomorrow.

This evening’s lineup features a drone show illustrating a tourist’s experience in the Maldives. Cultural showcases, such as Boduberu and Dafi performances, will also be presented, alongside stalls offering an array of local delicacies. A fireworks display is planned for midnight.

Tonight’s schedule includes:

– 8:00 PM: Opening of the New Year Festival to the public

– 8:30 PM: Commencement of the Food Festival

– 9:00 PM: Drone Show

– 9:15 PM: Boduberu with Dafi performance

– 12:00 AM: Fireworks display

Tomorrow’s festivities will focus on family-friendly activities, featuring a special evening for children. The program includes food and cultural stalls, demonstrations by police and fire departments, a climbing wall, bounce house, transformer exhibit, Boduberu performances, and a roboman showcase.

Ibrahim Shiury, CEO and Managing Director of MMPRC, expressed pride in hosting the Maldives Culture and Food Festival in tandem with the New Year celebrations. He emphasized that this event highlights the Maldives’ achievements while showcasing various elements of Maldivian cultural heritage.

MMPRC acknowledges the support of numerous government bodies and private companies in organizing this festival.
