By Hussain Shinan Published January 17, 2025

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), in collaboration with travel platform Pickyourtrail, hosted the vibrant “Maldives Mahautsav” to boost tourism from India. The two-day carnival, held on January 11-12, 2025, at Ambience Mall in Gurgaon, aimed to showcase the Maldives’ signature luxury experiences and attract Indian travelers.

The event was officially inaugurated by Maldives High Commissioner to India, Aishath Azeema, and featured a range of immersive activities highlighting the beauty and hospitality of the Maldives.

Highlights of Maldives Carnival 2025

The carnival offered a glimpse into the Maldives’ world-class tourism offerings, with 17 resort booths providing information on premium accommodations, amenities, and travel packages. Each booth was staffed by Pickyourtrail representatives who guided visitors with personalized advice on travel planning and resort options.

Interactive activities created an engaging atmosphere, allowing attendees to experience the Maldives’ charm firsthand. The event also emphasized key travel experiences sought by Indian tourists, including destination weddings, honeymoons, and luxury getaways.

Strengthening Connections with Indian Travelers

MMPRC highlighted the importance of the Indian market for Maldivian tourism, stating that the Maldives Carnival 2025 served as a valuable platform to build stronger ties with Indian travelers. The collaboration with Pickyourtrail enabled Maldivian resorts and travel stakeholders to connect directly with potential buyers, fostering relationships and increasing awareness of the Maldives as a premier travel destination.

“The carnival provided an excellent opportunity to bring the Maldives’ unique offerings to India. It allowed Indian travelers to explore their options and connect with the luxury, beauty, and hospitality of the Maldives,” MMPRC stated.

The initiative aligns with MMPRC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the Maldives’ position as a top choice for Indian tourists, leveraging events like the Maldives Mahautsav to increase arrivals and promote the country’s unparalleled travel experiences.
