Ooredoo Maldives has once again secured the prestigious title of “Small Markets Telco of the Year” at the Twimbit Telecom Awards 2025, marking its second consecutive win in this category. The accolade was presented during a ceremony held at the St. Regis Singapore on May 28, 2025.
The Twimbit Telecom Awards recognize telecommunications operators demonstrating exceptional innovation, customer experience, and digital transformation across various market segments. In the fiercely competitive Small Markets category, Ooredoo Maldives stood out among strong contenders such as Dhiraagu (Maldives) and DST (Brunei).
Ooredoo Maldives’ continued leadership in digital innovation and commitment to transforming the digital landscape of the Maldives were key factors in its recognition. The company’s strategic investments in 5G expansion, fintech innovation through m-Faisaa, AI-powered digital experiences, and impactful community initiatives under its “Digital Maldives” vision have set it apart in the industry.

This year’s awards ceremony saw participation from major telcos and tech companies from the Asia Pacific region, such as Bharti Airtel, Singtel, Starhub, Rakuten Mobile Japan, Reliance Jio, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, and China Mobile.
