The State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has announced that it will begin upgrading the power distribution network in Hulhumalé Phase II, with work scheduled to run from 21 July to 31 July.
According to STELCO, the project follows the official handover of the Hulhumalé Phase II power distribution network to the company. The planned infrastructure improvements are aimed at enhancing the quality of electricity services while ensuring a more reliable and sustainable power supply for residents.
STELCO said the technical upgrading works may result in brief electricity interruptions in different parts of Hulhumalé Phase II during the project period.
The utility apologized for any inconvenience caused and emphasized that the temporary disruptions are necessary to complete critical improvements that will strengthen the long-term reliability of the electricity network.
STELCO also thanked customers for their patience, cooperation, and understanding while the upgrade works are carried out.
