Visit Maldives Scores Big with Liverpool FC Partnership, Web Traffic Soars 400%

By Ahmed Ashraf Published August 12, 2025

Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) is gearing up for another thrilling Premier League season as the Official Tourist Destination Partner of Liverpool FC, leveraging the global reach of one of the world’s most iconic football clubs to promote the Maldives on an unprecedented scale.

From 15 August 2025, the Maldives brand will once again illuminate Anfield Stadium through premium LED boards at key home fixtures — including clashes with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Manchester City — reaching a combined global audience of more than 600 million viewers across live broadcasts and digital platforms.

The partnership is already delivering results. A targeted Liverpool FC fan email campaign last week drove a 400% spike in daily visits to visitmaldives.com, directing users to a dedicated landing page featuring exclusive property offers from VMC members.

Since the announcement of the three-year partnership in March 2025, Visit Maldives has rolled out high-impact campaigns worldwide, from London Underground takeovers to taxi branding in Dubai and eye-catching showcases at the Arabian Travel Market and Kazakhstan International Exhibition. The collaboration has also brought international football fever to the Maldives with fan events, billboards, and a special appearance by Liverpool legend Dirk Kuyt.

VMC Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree described the partnership as “a celebration of football, pride, and national identity” — one that positions the Maldives in front of over 200 million loyal Liverpool supporters globally.

With record-breaking engagement, strategic activations in key markets, and visibility at every Liverpool home match, Visit Maldives aims to sustain momentum throughout the 2025–2028 seasons, strengthening the nation’s profile as a world-class holiday destination.
