Ahmed Mubeen has been appointed as the Deputy Managing Director of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company, marking a new addition to the leadership of one of the country’s largest state-owned enterprises.
The appointment was confirmed by MTCC, which is currently overseeing a wide range of infrastructure development projects across the Maldives. The company’s board and staff extended their congratulations to Mubeen following the announcement.
In a statement shared on social media, MTCC expressed confidence that his experience and leadership would contribute to the company’s continued growth and future achievements.
Mubeen previously held the position of Managing Director at Regional Airports Company Limited after being appointed shortly after President Mohamed Muizzu assumed office in November 2023. He later stepped down from the role during the process of integrating the company’s operations with Maldives Airports Company Limited.
In addition to his corporate roles, Mubeen is also known in the sporting community as the Chairman of New Radiant Sports Club, one of the country’s most established football clubs.
His appointment comes as MTCC continues to play a central role in delivering major infrastructure projects nationwide.
