The award recognises employees who have made exceptional contributions to the company’s growth and development through their dedication, professional achievements and commitment to advancing MWSC’s long-term objectives.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the official launch of OneMWSC, a new strategic initiative introduced by Managing Director Hussain Fahumy.
The initiative is designed to bring MWSC’s nationwide infrastructure projects, corporate social responsibility activities and digital services together under a single organisational framework.
Through OneMWSC, the company aims to establish a more coordinated approach to its operations and initiatives across the Maldives.
Speaking at the ceremony, Fahumy said the annual awards programme provides an opportunity to recognise employees’ talents, acknowledge their contributions and encourage continued professional development.
He highlighted the importance of investing in employees, noting that MWSC had undertaken several initiatives over the past year to improve staff development and workplace benefits.
These efforts included providing short-term and long-term scholarship opportunities to help employees pursue further education and specialised training in different fields.
Fahumy also highlighted measures introduced to support employee health and wellbeing, alongside efforts to create a more positive and supportive working environment.
He said developing a skilled and motivated workforce remains important to the company’s ability to maintain essential services and meet its operational responsibilities.
Addressing MWSC’s wider role, Fahumy emphasised that access to reliable water and sewerage services is a fundamental necessity for communities across the Maldives.
He said the company continues to strengthen its technological capabilities and operational resources to ensure these services are delivered without interruption.
Established in 1995, MWSC is a major provider of water and sewerage services in the Maldives and has expanded its involvement in infrastructure development and utility services over the years.
The company plays an important role in developing and maintaining essential utility infrastructure, particularly as demand for reliable water and sanitation services continues to grow across the country’s islands.
MWSC’s operations include the development and management of water supply and sewerage systems, with infrastructure projects supporting improvements in public health, sanitation and access to essential services.
The launch of OneMWSC comes as the company continues to undertake infrastructure projects and expand its digital services, while maintaining its focus on employee development and operational efficiency.
The annual awards ceremony recognised the contributions of employees across different areas of the organisation, highlighting the role of its workforce in delivering essential services to communities throughout the Maldives.
