Buy an Apple Watch, Get 6 Months Free eSIM with Ooredoo

By Hussain Shinan Published 18 hours ago

Ooredoo Maldives has introduced a new promotion offering six months of free eSIM connectivity for Apple Watch users who purchase their devices from the newly launched Apple Mono Store operated by Ell Mobile.

Under the limited-time promotion, customers who buy compatible models of the Apple Watch from the Apple Mono Store will receive six months of eSIM connectivity through Ooredoo’s network at no additional cost. The offer will be available for purchases made within the next two months.

The eSIM feature enables Apple Watch users to stay connected directly from their smartwatch without needing their iPhone nearby. With the service activated, users can make calls, send messages, stream music, receive notifications and access apps independently through the watch.

According to the company, the service is designed to enhance convenience for everyday activities such as workouts, travel and outdoor adventures, allowing users to remain connected even when they are away from their smartphones.

Ooredoo Maldives noted that it is currently the only telecommunications provider in the country offering dedicated Apple wearable connectivity services, bringing one of Apple’s advanced connectivity features to local customers.

The launch also places the Maldives among a limited number of markets within the wider Ooredoo Group where Apple Watch eSIM connectivity has been introduced.

After the six-month promotional period ends, customers will have the option to continue using the service for a monthly fee of MVR 199, allowing ongoing connectivity directly through the smartwatch.

The promotion is available exclusively for Apple Watch devices purchased from the Apple Mono Store by Ell Mobile. Through the initiative, Ooredoo says it aims to expand access to modern digital services while continuing its efforts to advance technological innovation in the Maldives.
