TaZa, a leading bottled water brand in the Maldives, has introduced a new mascot named Fenkoe, aimed at promoting hydration awareness and encouraging healthy habits among children and families.
The character was revealed on Saturday afternoon through social media channels managed by Island Beverages Maldives (IBM), the company behind the TaZa brand. With an energetic and playful design, Fenkoe is expected to appear at community festivals, school events, and brand campaigns throughout the year.
“Fenkoe is a symbol of inclusivity and wellness,” said Mohamed Jinan Jaleel, Managing Director of Island Beverages Maldives. “He brings a light-hearted and energetic presence to the TaZa brand while reinforcing the importance of staying hydrated.”
According to IBM, Fenkoe’s design is inspired by the natural flow of rainwater — aligning with TaZa’s brand values of purity, vitality, and connection. The initiative also complements IBM’s broader public engagement efforts, which include educational outreach programs and sustainable packaging solutions under the TaZa Veshi line.
Founded in 2002, Island Beverages Maldives is a joint venture between Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) and Champa Brothers Pvt Ltd. The company produces and distributes TaZa bottled water across the Maldives and has expanded its focus in recent years to include social responsibility and environmental sustainability initiatives.
With the launch of Fenkoe, TaZa aims to strengthen its connection with younger audiences while continuing to advocate for accessible, high-quality hydration.
