President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu met with the Executive Management Board of the Maldives Police Service on Thursday, stressing the importance of strengthening policing standards, institutional governance, and public confidence.
The meeting was held at the Police Headquarters in the Shaheed Hussain Adam Building and was attended by Minister of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology Ali Ihusaan, Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed, and members of the Police Service Executive Management Board.

During the discussions, the President highlighted the need to further enhance the quality of police services while advancing the institution’s strategic objectives. He emphasized that the Maldives Police Service should remain a model institution that places the needs and concerns of citizens at the centre of its work.
President Muizzu also noted the continued expansion of police services across the country and underscored the Executive Management Board’s key responsibility in strengthening the administrative and operational capacity of the institution.
Commissioner Ahmed Mohamed and members of the Executive Management Board reaffirmed their commitment to achieving the Police Service’s strategic goals, strengthening public trust, and safeguarding peace and security across the Maldives.
